MsPaint in Photoshop!
By DillDoe | May 16, 2007
At least PC user have something Mac users don’t, MsPaint!
The simple drawing program used by many can now be used in Photoshop as well.
FILES: MsPaint.zip
Download the above file and unzip them into your Brush & Color Swatch folder in Photoshop. They contain the default Brushes and color from MsPaint.
Now down to MsPaint basics:

These are the basic tools in MsPaint. Brushes, Eraser, Spray Brush, Paint Bucket.
Line width for lines & shapes. The numbers shows how many pixel the tools are.
Now how to use this in Photoshop?

Simple, first turn of Anti-aliased for all tools (paint bucket, lines, magic wand, etc…)
Load the Brushes & Color Swatch.
Go to ‘Edit > Preset Manager…’ The Preset Manager will open allowing you to load your Brushes, Swatch, etc…

Select Brushes from ‘Preset Type’ & click
to expand the menu. Select ‘MsPaint’ and click ok to replace your current brushes. Do the same for Swatches and click ‘Done’
PC users can choose the Windows color swatch if they want instead of using the basic MsPaint swatch I’ve included.

Make sure to click the brush tool and select the pencil tool to match MsPaint because the brush tool doesn’t have an Anti-aliased option.

Also, make sure you change your Eraser to Pencil too.
The brushes are arranged Brush, Spray and Eraser. If you use the line tool or any of the shapes, the line thickness is shown above, 1-5 pixels (make sure to turn off Anti-aliased)
That’s it, you can now use Photoshop just like MsPaint. Now you can join the fun with the rest of the PC users and paint a fun picture.

Enjoy!
